To do anything else would be a potential conflict of interest, which would undermine our ability to be unbiased in performing assessments. It would also fly in the face of financial security regulations and guidelines. White Badger Group was founded with the highest of moral standards and a devotion to the security industry. We don’t compromise that for anything.

We look at your network in ways that nobody else does. When performing an assessment, we don’t just run some magical piece of software and mail you whatever it prints out. We use an array of tools, best suited to your network and the job at hand, then pour over the results of both the software and our own onsite visit and interview to develop our recommendations for your organization. Furthermore, we look at everything inside and out. Attackers never just want to get in to your network, they want to get out... usually with your sensitive data. Our assessments take in to account not only the prevention of the initial attack, but also the defense should an attack be successful. You can’t get that kind of thorough assessment from a company that just mails you a box to plug in to your network.

We help you understand the results. Most security assessment companies will scan your network, print out a computer-generated report, and mail it to you. $5000 later, you have a report which is likely full of false-positives, and might as well be written in Greek. White Badger Group takes time with every assessment and helps you understand the results, their possible impact, and the suggested solutions. We are here to help you be more secure, so it only makes sense to us that helping you understand our report makes it more valuable to you.

We make house calls, every time. For every job which involves an internal portion, we show up onsite instead of or in addition to mailing you a box. We look not only at your network, but also the physical security protecting your network. We’ve found that this simple act yields tons of relevant security information that would be missed otherwise. This translates into a more thorough and valuable assessment for you, and fun travels for us.

We have one of those. Our in house lab contains pieces of hardware and software that represent most major vendors of IT products. Chances are, if you are using it, we have it, or something very similar to it. In many cases, we’re able to mock up and test our recommendations before we present them, and it allows us to break things reliably before exploiting your production systems during a Penetration Test.
